Your photography is a distribution asset
The same shoot has to work on your own site, on every OTA, and in paid media. Most are planned for one.

Shoot for the crops you actually need
A property shoot ends up in a website hero, an OTA gallery with its own aspect ratio, a metasearch thumbnail, a vertical social cut and a paid ad. Planning the shot list around those output formats — rather than cropping a landscape hero afterwards — is the difference between an asset library and a folder of nice pictures.
The gallery is a conversion surface
On most booking channels the image gallery does more selling than the description. Order matters, room-type accuracy matters, and a missing bathroom shot costs more bookings than a beautiful sunset gains. Auditing galleries channel by channel is unglamorous and reliably profitable.
Paid media exposes weak content quickly
Advertising does not fix a thin asset library. It puts a budget behind it. Campaigns that underperform frequently have a creative problem rather than a targeting one: too few variants, nothing shot vertically, and no image that answers the question the guest is actually asking.
Match the spend to the rate strategy
Paid demand arriving on dates you were always going to fill is expensive traffic. Paid media works when it is pointed at the gaps the revenue team has identified — specific dates, room types and source markets — which means the media plan and the rate strategy have to be built in the same room.
